Zachary Nemesek, a young veterinarian, has recently returned home to his parents farm, to help out in any way he can, because his dad is ill.
Josephine Shaw is a young nutritionist. She’s a tiny package and very outspoken. She is very passionate and she definitely stands up for what she believes in and isn’t afraid to let you know her opinion.
And . . . a friendly and rambunctious border collie. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, any story with a border collie can’t be bad!
This is “Raspberries and Vinegar,” (A Farm Fresh Romance #1) by Valerie Comer. This is a good, fun romance with a couple of surprises and a lot of sass, charm and loveable characters! Oh, there are a couple of not so loveable characters also!
My neighbor has the most beautiful garden in her backyard. I enjoy it year around.
“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit.” – Henry David Thoreau
Wentwater is a community steeped in superstition and much to the distress of the inhabitants, Wentwater is rapidly unraveling one word at a time. Days before the unraveling, the author describes, a vibrant, colorful festival in Wentwater with music and dancing. However . . .evil is on the threshold.
I had a clear picture of the citizens of Wentwater witnessing items in their homes and community disappear, not knowing how or why. Fear and panic ensue and with it, blame.
However, there is always hope!
Captivating story, well-written, good plot. I have enjoyed all the books in “The Gates of Heaven” Series! Happy Reading!
I am so excited, I’m doing the happy dance. I recently heard, one of my favorite authors, Jan Karon, has written a new book and it will be released September 2, 2014!!! Did I mention happy dance???
“Somewhere Safe With Somebody Good,” by Jan Karon!
Yes! YES! YES!

I love “The Gates of Heaven” Series by C.S. Lakin! I am currently reading “The Unraveling of Wentwater.” I have read Chapter 3 twice. It is so good. I skipped through the streets of Wentwater with Teralyn. I heard the music and felt the vibrations. I witnessed the colors, heard the laughter and the singing. I watched the dancers as they would spin around to the rhythm of the music. I closed my eyes and enhaled the scents.
I met Twig the Fairy, for the first time, at a Renaissance Festival a few years ago. I look forward to the Renaissance Festival every year. Twig is enchanting, mystical, and as you can see, she’s beautiful. She never says a word, she plays her flute and she communicates wondrously or maybe, magically with non-verbal communication and her flute! I am happy to say, she has sprinkled fairy dust on me! Yes she has! I think she’s just a tad mischievous. She’s seems a little timid and children (and adults) love her. http://www.twigthefairy.com
I do NOT like to shop! That’s right, I’ll say it again. I don’t enjoy shopping. Pathetic, isn’t it? I don’t even want to go to the grocery store. I have been known to put off grocery shopping until we are eating our last cracker! Am I hopeless? I have tried. In times past, I have forced myself to get out there. Enjoy shopping as other women do, but whoa and alas, it’s not gonna happen. I have tried antique shopping, window shopping, clothes, shoes, bags, home décor . . . I’m getting tired just thinking about it! If I enter a mall, I am instantly tired! And, to return an item or items for a refund or exchange, YIKES, I’m ready for a long nap! Internet shopping is perfect for this gal.
Well, today I had the most extraordinary experience. I climbed into our car, drove to the mall and went shopping for thirty minutes. I know! It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s huge for me! Thirty minutes of shopping! A new record for me and I didn’t get tired. I actually enjoyed it. It refreshed me and it seemed to be a thirty minute vacation! Unfathomable! You might ask, did you purchase anything? Why yes, I did. Thank-you for asking. I bought two pair of earrings and a scarf. I ask myself, what was different today? The mall had very few customers, so I wondered about freely. I was alone. I had money and the items I bought were on sale! I almost forgot, it was freezing cold outside and I didn’t want to go back out in that wind chill!
