“And so this is Christmas”

All is merry and bright! That’s right, the Christmas season is definitely upon us. Over the next few days, I am going to demystify and define several of those “things” we do during the holiday season or – we have heard about and have puzzled over for so long! So, sit down, relax and Happy Reading!

Figgy Pudding

Figgy pudding comes to us from the United Kingdom and dates back to the 16th century! It is a Christmas pudding made with figs. Apparently, it is mashed figs thickened with bread and can be boiled, fried, baked or steamed in the oven!In England, Christmas — or figgy — pudding is traditionally prepared about a month before Christmas Mmmm. Most of us have probably heard of figgy pudding from the song, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

I honestly didn’t know this. Oh my goodness! I have learned something today! I might try to make it. The picture is from pinterest and there are recipes on pinterest. Enjoy!
