The Sidekick? The Unsung Hero/Heroine Part 6

So, I hope I have this correct. I am not an expert on Clark Kent/Superman, so if you have any information or comments please share them, I would love to hear from you.

Jonathan and Martha Kent are driving home from church, when they see an alien vessel crash into Earth. They get a flat tire, while Jonathan is trying to change the tire, Martha wonders off to investigate the spaceship. Martha discovers a youngster and the rest, as they say, is history. Welcome to Earth Superman! So, we have an alien from outer space who is also an immigrant. Mmm. How did Jonathan and Martha explain this child’s presence? I understand they said, he was the son of a distant relative. I’ll say it was distant!!!

I can’t even imagine raising Superman! Did he have dental work done? Did he have his childhood immunizations? He would need a birth certificate.  If he was ever sick, were his illnesses different from the illnesses on Earth? Did the boys at school wrestle him or engage in any rough and tumble boy activity? Yes, I would say, Jonathan and Martha are unsung heroes. They could have given him to social services or the authorities, but they kept him and raised him as their own. And really, they had no idea how or what this child would develop into???

Anyone could have found the super baby, but Jonathan and Martha became the proud parents. Destiny? Calling? Chance? They were up for the task!

There are several actors and actresses who played the part of Jonathan and Martha Kent since the story was created, however, I decided on Kevin Costner and Diane Lane.
