Dark Passage (1947)
Vincent Parry (Humphrey Bogart) is an escaped prisoner convicted of murdering his wife. He wants to prove his innocence and expose the true killer. As an escaped convict, his face is all over the news and well known, so he allows a questionable doctor to alter his appearance. Irene Jansen (Lauren Bacall) takes an interest in the escaped convict from early in the film and assists him.
As a result of the unique filming of the movie, I thought Lauren Bacall carried a good portion of the film on her own. The filming is from Vincent Parry’s eye view.
The characters in the film and how the story came together was intriguing.
I did like it. I thought it had a good ending.
