Reading Habits Tag ~

Hello Peoples!  🙂  I saw this tag on Aerykah’s blog and then I saw it on Judy’s blog, so, I decided to participate. I don’t think anyone is tagged, if you want to participate, just hop on board!  🙂  So, let’s have some fun!!!

1.) Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

Yes! We have a comfy sofa in our home and I like to curl up in the corner and read there.

2.) Bookmark or random piece of paper?

Yes! I use most anything I can find. I’ve used napkins, dollar bills, scraps of paper and yes I have used bookmarks.

3.) Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?

I prefer to stop at the end of a chapter, but if I’m reading a lengthy book, I set goals for myself and I quit reading when I reach my goal.

4.) Do you eat or drink while you’re reading?

I don’t eat while I’m reading. I’m fussy about my books and I like them clean and crisp. I do have a drink when I read.

5.) Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

I like it quiet when I read. I read at a bakery a LOT and coffee shops, so I’m use to the hum of voices in the background, but if the voices get very loud or if there’s loud music, I can’t read.

6.) One book at a time or several at once?

I prefer one book at a time.

7.) Reading at home or everywhere?

I read at home, coffee shops and a bakery.

8.) Reading out loud or silently in your head?

I read silently in my head.

9.) Do you read ahead or even skip pages?

The only time I read ahead or skip pages ~ if the story is very intense ~ then I’ll skip to the last chapter and read how it all ends.

10.) Breaking the spine or keeping it new?

I like keeping it new.  🙂

11.) Do you write in your books?

Sometimes I do. Since I started Bible Journaling, I’ve carried it over to fiction and I might sketch something on the pages.

Thanks so much for reading.

Much Love ~

  1. I really like to stop reading at the end of a chapter – or at least a chapter break, too. But sometimes chapters are SO long, I feel like the length mentally distracts me from the story. This is more true of late-night reading than morning time. Sometimes at night, I’m just not in the frame of mind to read. 🙂
