Ramblings And What Not ~

Hello Peoples!  🙂  May ended in a blaze of heat. I enjoyed it. I walked, I drank lemonade and we planted a raspberry bush in May! The man at the nursery was very helpful. He answered all of my questions and I selected a bush that will bear fruit in July. The nursery had four or five different types of raspberry bushes *choices choices* but I decided on the July bush. And! Rick and I have been puttering around in our backyard. We have planted flowers, pulled weeds and we did get very dirty.  🙂

There’s our little raspberry bush.  🙂  She gets plenty of sunshine and the right amount of water. She’s so cute!

And NOW, I’d like to direct your attention to http://www.piratepatty.wordpress.com

Pirate Patty blogs at Books, Books and More Books! She reads and writes reviews! I love her profile picture!  Skedaddle on over and meet Pirate Patty, enjoy her blog and book reviews!

As many of you know, Rick and I went to the Tulip Festival in Orange City, Iowa a couple of weeks ago. I don’t drink coffee, not really, occasionally I savor a cup of decaf, but no, not a coffee drinker. Now Rick is a COFFEE DRINKER! Anyway, we bought Douwe Egberts coffee at the Tulip Festival. In a previous blog post, I promised to post a photo and here is the photo! YAY! If you can, I recommend you try this coffee. It’s the best I’ve ever had. I’ve only tasted the decaf.  🙂

I was at Barnes & Nobles one hot afternoon, when I saw this puzzle. Well. I don’t do puzzles, but hubby loves them. He has been known to sit up all night putting a puzzle together. I had a coupon, so I bought the puzzle and he put it together for me. Nice job!

Now for goodreads.  🙂  In January, I joined the Goodreads Reading Challenge, committing myself to read 55 books in 2018. I thought to myself, “Self ~ that’s a good number of books.” I knew 30 of those reads would be cozy mysteries because I joined the cozy mystery challenge and 30 was the number I was reading in the challenge. Well, I’ve read 51 books, not all cozies!!! My my my! That’s right, I’m 29 books ahead of schedule!!! It’s official, I’m the maniac reader!!!

  1. Dirt dries out my skin, but there is something magical about working in the garden that makes it all worthwhile. Cute bush! Sounds like a wonderful month. Lots of good news. 🙂

    • Yea, I hear ya. After I work outside in the garden, I itch. Strange. When I come in the house, the first thing I do, is head for the shower, then I put the clothes I wore in the washer. If I take a shower, I’m fine. I talked to a doctor about it one time and he said, it could be anything ~ plants, dirt, fertilizer, something blowing around in the air, anything. Mmmm.

  2. Mays end is horribly heated here also. It is wonderful to have a husband that likes a hobby you can buy things for him that are easier to find and get unlike guys who like only big items and only specific things which you know little about since it is not your hobby also. Big pin for ll my guys in the family. Sometimes they get a meal only and card.
