Renaissance Festival 2018

Hello Peoples! Rick and I went to the Renaissance Festival. We go every year. We always have such a great time.  🙂  Rick likes the jousting ~ it is fun ~ but, I like the fairies and the music. I thought I’d share a few photos.

These kids were funny. They approached me laughing, asking me what was the magic box I was carrying ~ my camera! I took this photo and they thought I had stolen their soul and put it in the magic box. They were cute!  🙂

Fairies! The lovely fairy in green seemed like Tinkerbell!

There they are! I didn’t catch their names???

This was a fun group of Renaissance enthusiasts!

The weather was great, sunny, for the festival. We visited all the booths selling their wares. I had a veggie wrap for lunch and Rick had a giant turkey leg, smoked. We enjoyed some great ice cream. Very buttery! We watched the jousting and melee fighting. The knights are so difficult to get close to, they really attract the crowds, so it’s difficult to get a photo but, every year I try.  🙂

If you’ve never been to a Renaissance Festival, I want to encourage you to go. They are fun. You don’t need a costume. Rick and I never wear costumes. If you have been to a Renaissance Festival, I’d love to hear your stories. Leave a comment.  🙂

Much love ~

      • I have a tartan pattern skirt, white blouse, and black lace-up vest, a Scottish (hobbit) lass. 🙂 I also have a black cloak and a gray cloak, the latter is an LOTR Elvish cloak, my reward to myself for having the MRI of my back that I’d been avoiding for years. 😀 It’s fun when someone comes up and asks, “Is it real?” “Yes, want to touch it?” LOL!
