It’s an unseasonably warm spring in Copper Bluff, South Dakota and everything is going well for Professor Emmeline Prather. Her book has been accepted for publication! And! The campus is all a bustle with the Shakespeare Festival.
Warning: This mystery will probably cause a desire, in the reader, to participate, in some capacity in a Shakespeare event. 🙂
When a grad student claims he can prove Shakespeare wasn’t Shakespeare scholarly arguments break out on campus. This eager young man believes that a different author wrote the First Folio. When the young scholar is discovered dead, similar to a scene from Hamlet, questions abound and Professor Prather discovers herself involved in another mystery.
A well-crafted, well-written mystery! I love Professor Prather and Lenny. They’re a great couple and so much fun! As she dives into mystery after mystery, trailing leads and asking questions, Lenny is with her all the way, watching her back, bouncing off ideas and listening to her theories. I’ve read all the books in this series and I’ve enjoyed watching their relationship develop. Oh! And, Mrs. Gunderson. I must say something about Mrs. Gunderson! I want to live next door to her! She’s such a wonderful neighbor and busybody. She certainly watches out for Emmeline. And! She encourages her relationship with Lenny! 🙂
I’m not a Shakespeare expert, but I thought the author did a great job working Shakespeare into a cozy mystery! I didn’t solve this mystery. It was a puzzle.
Highly recommend! This is a good mystery for teens and adults! 5 ***** stars!
