My Favorite New Year’s Memory ~

Oh my word. I am not a New Year’s Eve person at all. I normally sleep on New Year’s Eve. Most of the time, sometime during the night, I manage to open one eye, look at the clock to discover if it is the new year yet, then I close said eye, roll over and go back to sleep. lol. However, one year, when Rick and I lived in Hawaii, a friend invited us to their home to play games on New Year’s Eve. I did see the new year roll in that night and into the morning. We had a good time.  🙂

Questions ~

I think these questions were created by Beverly, however, I discovered them on Gail’s blog.  🙂

~ If you could celebrate the New Year anywhere, where would it be?

At home sleeping in bed.  🙂  *haha*

~ What is your favorite snack food for New Years?

Well! If I was to stay awake long enough, I would make popcorn!

~ Have you ever kept a New Year’s resolution? If so, what was it?

YES! When I was a kid, I loved getting letters in the mail. Anything really. Magazines, books, etc. Well, very few people write letters anymore. The art of letter writing is in critical condition. So, a few year’s ago, I made a New Year’s resolution to hand write one letter every month to someone, a different person each month and mail it. I did it. I wrote one letter every month for the entire year. I received a response from an elderly aunt and we corresponded until she passed away.

You’ve Got Mail (1998)

Joe Fox: “You wrote her letters?”

Schuyler Fox: “Mail. It was called mail.”

Nelson Fox: “Stamps. Envelopes.”

Joe Fox: “You know, I’ve heard of it.” ~You’ve Got Mail (1998)

What do you want to do with your blog next year?

Good question. Have fun.  🙂

~ Do you prefer a big party or a small gathering to celebrate?

A small gathering.

Thanks again Gail!

I tag anyone who is reading this post and answer the same questions I answered.  SMILE!

Much love ~

  1. PTL! Congrats on the tag, Kathy! You’re absolutely tagged (even if I failed to write to anyone who wants to do it!). I had seen it passed around among so many familiar names that I wasn’t even sure if the two I mentioned were safe not to annoy.
i loved reading your post! That’s normally me now to fall asleep. God loves you!
