You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How do you decide what to read next???

Oh my goodness!!! 20,000??? Am I a library??? Seriously though, I am pretty much a mood reader, so I would read what I’m in the mood to read.

You’re halfway through a book and just aren’t feeling it. Do you quit or are you committed to finishing?

It depends. If it’s a book I’ve purchased and I can return it, I do and get my money back. If it’s a library book, I return it. If someone gave me the book, I do try to finish it and then discuss the book with that person. Recently, I did finish a book I did not like because of one character in the story. It took me weeks to finish reading it and I had to take breaks, long breaks.

The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but also so far away from your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and if so how?

I would just keep reading.

The cover of a series you love do not match. How do you deal with that?

Everyone you can think of loves a book you don’t love. Who do you talk to about your feelings?

I have had this experience, more than once, in both directions. If I do talk about it, I mention it to Rick or on my blog.

You’re reading a book and you’re about to start crying in public. What do you do?

I don’t remember that ever happening. If it did, I would get a napkin, drink plenty of liquids and buck up!

A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the previous book?

Apparently I remember I loved the first book. Yes, I would re-read it.

You aren’t a fan of letting people borrow your books. How do you politely tell them you don’t want them to borrow your books?

Well, no one ever borrows my books. I have loaned books to people, but it was my suggestion, not theirs. I’m not sure I wouldn’t let someone borrow my books, one at a time. I could have them sign a contract. 🙄

You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

Good question. I’m not sure I’ve had a reading slump. I’ve read several heavy classic reads this past twelve months and I’ve needed a break, however, I just take a couple of days off from reading and that takes care of it.

There are so many new books coming out that you are dying to read. How many do you actually buy?

I check the library. If I can get it at the library, I will. If the book is hard cover, I will wait for the paperback. So, I will purchase a few, but not all.

After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to read them, but how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

I have been known to sit in the bookstore, read half of the book, and then purchase it before I leave. The cashier has to fight me for the books so she could ring it up. *haha* A book can sit on my shelf for a few weeks too.
