Mid-Month Ramblings ~

Hello Peoples! It is cold here, really cold. We have a wind chill! When I woke, it was 39 degrees outside!

I got my hair cut this morning, then went shopping for groceries. I was cold and hungry, so stopped at the bakery, savored a pumpkin chocolate chip tea cake and steamy hot tea. So good. Autumn is such a great season. I’d like to have a moment when I can start a fire in our firepit, in the backyard, but it’s been tooooo windy.

What am I reading?

Summer By the Tides by Denise Hunter is not an autumn read, but it is a nice, predictable, calm story. Grandma went missing and the three granddaughters have come together, at her home on the beach, to try to find Grandma. Two of the sisters have been estranged for years. Maybe it’s time to work through this rift??? Maddy, the youngest has had a bad experience with a boyfriend. Connor Sullivan, the man living next door to Grandma, is a really nice guy. Connor has some heartache too. Maddy needs to give him a chance. Maybe easier said than done. I will probably finish this book Friday.

Have a great day!

Much love ~

  1. Autumn is a great season! We are having a few brisk, chilly days as well, but the forecast shows a warm up for the weekend. We will enjoy the warmth while we can šŸ˜Ž.

  2. Shalom, Kathy! I enjoy the Autumn season, too. That crispness and pretty foliage is awesome. I’ve never had pumpkin chocolate chip tea cake, in fact, I’d never heard of it before reading this post! The chocolate chip part sounds very good! šŸ™‚
May you have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend! šŸ™‚ Hugs!
