Abe Lincoln ~

Hello Peoples! It’s raining this morning. The thunder woke me some time during the night, but I went right back to sleep. I might go for a walk today. I love walking in the rain. I grab my bumbershoot and off I go into the cool, crisp, moist air of an autumn rain.

This morning, I am sharing the last of our photos from our trip to Missouri and Illinois. Our friend, H took us to Lincoln Museum in Springfield, Illinois and then we went to a bookstore.

I took this photo of the capital building and I loved how it turned out!

This museum is NICE. Music was playing the entire time we were there and as we walked from exhibit to exhibit, it was a wonderful experience.

The lifelike statues of Lincoln and his family are made of fabric. There were museum workers everywhere. I should have asked about the fabric. I don’t know why I didn’t.

There was a considerable amount of information about President Lincoln and his family. I was interested in his wife.

This was a lovely exhibit, but I can’t see myself dressing in this fashion everyday. I could for a costume party.

The museum has a great gift shop. There is plenty to see here. They show movies about President Lincoln. I don’t know how long we stayed at the museum, maybe, an entire morning. Highly recommend.

Have you visited the Lincoln Museum in Springfiled?

Much love ~

Kathy

  1. Thanks for sharing your trip with us, Kathy! 🙂 And I agree, I wouldn’t want to have to dress like that everyday, but a costume party or play maybe. 🙂
Walking in the rain can be fun. 😀
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! 🙂 Hugs! 🙂
