Hello Peoples! I hope you are toasty warm and enjoying autumn. It’s chilly in the mornings here, however, it does warm up some as the day progresses onward.
As many of you know I joined The Classics Club in November of 2019. I have enjoyed it. It’s been fun and I am happy to report I have read several of the classics! YAY! According to my list, I’ve read 33 of the classics. The Classics Club would like us to read 50 classics in five years! The link below will take you to my list of reads ~
I am thinking of creating another list of 50 classics to read when I complete this first fifty books. 😲 It will be awhile yet.
You might ask ~ Kathy, do you have a favorite classic read?
Thank-you for asking. I do have a few favorites, I have read from my list. I do have favorites that are not on this list, but the books I share here are from the list only. These favorites are in no particular order.
~ The Man Who Was Thursday by G. K.Chesterton
~ The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer
~ Frederica by Georgette Heyer
~ An Overdose of Death by Agatha Christie
~ The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
~ The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain
~ The Romance of the Forest by Ann Radcliffe
My least favorite reads on my classics list, up to this moment in time are ~
The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo
Shirley by Charlotte Bronte
My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier
I certainly don’t want to discourage anyone from reading my least favorites. They might be your favorites! And that’s ok!🧐
